Life of a raped girl

Shattering the expectations of having a boy, Rani entered the world. She was the third and youngest amongst three kids( 2 boys and 1 girl)  in the family. Initially, it was difficult for family members to accept her but her notorious and innocent acts made her favorite among all members. Time passed and Rani started going to school. Everything was going just perfect. But this perfection didn't last long.

Like every other day, Rani’s mother came to take her back from school in the afternoon.  Rani was not in class. The tension in the air was palpable. Everyone from maids to guards started looking for Rani. After an hour of searching, Rani was found covered with blood in schools' washroom. She was crying and shivering. Her condition clearly shows the pain she was suffering. She was afraid and was deliberately in need of help. Her condition was serious and was taken to the hospital for surgery.

She was RAPED...

The rapist was not identified. The wounds and scars on her body tell their story themselves. Although they disappeared from outside but left a stain on Rani's character. Rani was discharged after a week. Happy and cheerful life of an innocent girl changed to a sad and miserable one.

She was treated like a "damaged" piece who was disowned by her own family and friends. She became the victim of physical, psychological, and sociological attacks. Her intense need for love and care was ignored. No one stood for her. An innocent soul had to drink this poison of insult and humiliation.

Time passed, she grew up into a teenager living her miserable life. Domestic violence were part of her daily routine. Every man in the village looked her with lusty eyes. Going out and talking to any outsider was prohibited. Scars on her body tell their story of atrocities. Eating food up to her wish was one of her dreams. Torn and old clothes were the only support who keep her away from greedy eyes in the outside world. In short, she was living a nightmare.

In our society, a raped girl is treated as inauspicious. She cannot marry the boy of her own choice. Like many other raped girl, Rani also got married to a double aged man who was a father of 3 young sons who were of Rani's age. Now the game of lust began at home itself. Rani's life became more pathetic. Her husband was addicted to drugs and sons always look for a chance to harass her. Breathing in the house felt like getting choked.

A month later, Rani was attacked by one of the sons in the afternoon when no one was at home. In order to defend her, she killed him and ran away. She went to the city for a new ray of hope to live a better life. After spending many nights on road and begging , she finally got work in a house as a baby sitter.

First time in her life, she ate good food, slept peacefully and was happy.
